‘Abi mit Kaffee’ WordPress Blog
“Abi mit Kaffee” - english paraphrase “graduation with coffee” - is a private site for my advanced music class to keep in contact with each other. The name refers to our final written music exam, where the teachers came up with free coffee and pastries for all students. Based on free stock photography from a couple of online portals I created a simple but appealing design for the WordPress installation the site is based on. The design is valid XHTML1.1 as well as valid CSS2 according to the W3C. The manufacturing procedure was similar to the one I used at the JBO ‘Eintracht’ Oberhaid site: The artwork was done in Fireworks, sliced, and exported into multiple images. Using these images I coded the site structure in semantic XHTML and skinned it with CSS to match my Fireworks draft. Finally, I adapted the design to fit WordPress’ skin engine and imported it to the WordPress installation.
